Rescue Divers are trained emergency responders who operate in dangerous and unpredictable environments, conducting underwater and surface rescues in rivers, oceans, dams, and confined spaces. They often work in zero visibility, strong currents, and hazardous conditions, playing a vital role in saving lives, preserving property and providing emergency medical response

Most of our divers have completed Multi-agency Rescue Diver training BEFORE they join our Teams. DVFRP are continually developing their own Master Rescue Training and provide RESCUE DIVER courses through TDISDI, RAID and PADI for upcoming Team Members. Ongoing training is essential and in 2026 DVFRP's Dive Rescue Teams will be Australia's
